ASAI Village architectural render, hero background

A visual system that sustains business in an overheated market

About

ASAI Village is a villa complex in Bali built on a common local model: before any construction begins, units must be pre-sold to investors. The project launched during the uncertainty of COVID, relying heavily on concept presentations and early trust.

To support this, we needed a brand system that could make the project feel real — a visual language that communicated confidence, value, and a sense of place, before anything physical existed.

I worked on building a visual identity system from the ground up, starting with investor presentations and expanding into a scalable brand covering the villas, cafe, spa, and gym. I helped shape how the brand lives across architecture, printed materials, and digital platforms — supporting both the launch and long-term growth of ASAI Village.

Approach

The identity was developed alongside the architectural process — directly inspired by the geometry, materiality, and rhythm of the villas themselves. The result was a scalable system that felt grounded in the site and adaptable across future directions.

Early applications included pitch decks, brochures, and visualizations used to secure investment. From there, the system expanded into a full ecosystem: cafe, spa, gym, merchandise, and guest experience.

Each sub-brand was designed to feel distinct yet connected — sharing tone, pattern logic, and physical touchpoints like uniforms, signage, printed menus, and welcome kits.

System

The identity lives across printed matter, digital channels, merchandise, uniforms, and space. The system was designed to scale, flex, and evolve alongside the business.

A single system — flexible enough to house a cafe, a spa, and a vision.

Digital

The first website served as a placeholder, supporting third-party bookings via Airbnb and Booking.com. As the business matured, we redesigned the platform to enable direct booking, streamline the user journey, and better reflect the evolving brand. Structure, hierarchy, and content all shifted to support this goal.

Outcomes

Four years later, ASAI has become a recognizable lifestyle brand within a highly saturated market.

  • 80% occupancy maintained throughout the year
  • Cafe revenue continues to grow with seasonal menus and on‑brand promotion
  • Direct booking became the primary sales channel

Impact

What began as a concept for investors has grown into a fully realized brand — with villas sold, hospitality experiences launched, and new verticals underway.
